Unit 1 Social media/setting goals
Lesson 1
Unit Introduction: The two main components of this unit deal with goals and the use of social media and the internet. We discuss why this generation of students need to be aware of how social media and their participation on social media sites can impact them not only now but also in the future.

Lesson 3-5
Unit Project- Social Media/ Internet Safety Skits
- Students will form small groups and act a various scenes which show the importance of internet safety as well as the consequences that can occur with improper use off social media sites.
Students will be given a full class period to brainstorm ideas, create a written script, and rehearse the individual roles each student will have in the skit. The next two class periods will be devoted to performance. Each group will get a chance to perform their skit as well as evaluate/assess each other based on the skit assessment form.

Due dates will vary however each group should be finished by the end of the cycle on Oct 11th.
Lesson 6
This lesson will be devoted to reviewing for the upcoming unit test. Students will complete a review crossword, this should be used as their primary study guide. During the second half of class students will participate in a review BINGO game.
