Self-concept puzzle
-students are to use one of four puzzle templates to create a puzzle that displays examples that make up their own self concept.

- Give each student a blank puzzle ( they may choose from various templates)
- Have the students color in each piece of the puzzle ( a different color for each piece)
- Once colored, have the students write something unique about themselves on each piece. Examples include different sports, music, family, friends, school subjects, games, vacation places, or activities.
- Now have the students cut out the pieces of the puzzle. Be sure they do not trim off the black border of the puzzle! The border will make assembling the puzzle much easier.
- Once students have their puzzle pieces cut out, have them scramble them up and leave them on their desk.
- Have the class move around the room and put together other student’s puzzles.
Closure (Q and A)
- Who noticed any puzzle pieces the same or similar to their own?
- Who noticed pieces that were different?
- Were there any pieces that you found surprising or that you didn’t know about someone?
- Would this activity have been fun if all the puzzles were the exact same?
- Why is important to understand each other and realize that we are all not the same?

1. students will begin to design their value ribbon. The students will pick one of the six values we discussed in class and create a ribbon based on that value. On the ribbon the students will write how they or their family display that value.
